Capricho Árabe
Francisco Tárrega · guitar tab
Tárrega's Moorish serenade of 1892, one of the great showpieces of the guitar: a long, singing melody over a guitar's whole range, with a tender opening in harmonics, a stormy middle with rushing runs, and a flamenco-flavoured return. Opens in 3/4 and moves to 4/4. Natural harmonics are played here as ordinary notes, and the glissandi and grace notes are left out. About three minutes.
